Happening Here is a place to connect teachers / guides offering knowledge and skills related to wellbeing and creativity with learners seeking these experiences in Flagstaff, Arizona.
We created and maintain an adaptable shared-use space in downtown – a 24 x 24 foot studio with hardwood floors, yoga props, projector, sound system and seating. We offer a curated seasonal schedule of courses and events related to wellness, spirituality, philosophy, and creativity to bring together teachers and learners. Our offerings are promoted through the organization’s website, mailing list, flyers, advertising, and the MindBody wellness booking app.
Happening Here maintains and manages a space at 124 N San Francisco St Ste C & D which includes:
- 24 x 24 practice area – space for asana practice for about 20 students and an instructor
- yoga props for 20 participants: mats, blankets, blocks, bolsters, and straps
- Air purification
- Bluetooth sound system
- Projector
- Folding chairs available seating for about 30 people
- Mindbody App class listings and checkin
- Separate entry area for checkin and personal item storage
- Bathrooms shared with other businesses in the building
- Website, social media, community flyers, and mailing list updates for event promotion
We are flexible to meet your scheduling needs. A standard class would include a 1.5-hour block of time including 15-minute before class opening the space and greeting participants, checkins, the course (60-minute), and 15-minute closing the space, and returning the space to its original state. Other durations are available as needed. Workshop, recurring schedules, and one-off events are also an option.
Standard charge per participant for courses would be $18 with bulk discounts of 10 passes for $150 ($15 each) available. 30 percent of each participant’s fee would go towards maintaining the space and the remainder (70 percent) goes to the instructor. Instructors will be paid out bi-weekly for the preceding pay period on the 1st of the month (for work 16th – end of month) and 16th of the month (for work 1st – 15th). Instructors will be independent contractors and sent a 1099 tax form by January 31 of the preceding calendar year.
Our 2025 seasons will follow the solar holidays:
- Summer: August opening through Sept 21, 2025
- Autumn: Autumnal Equinox Sept 22, 2025 – Dec. 20, 2025
- Winter: Winter Solstice Dec 21, 2025 – March 19, 2026
- Spring: Vernal Equinox March 20, 2026 – June 20, 2026
We plan a soft open in August 2025 with a grand opening to be announced. Interested instructors can pitch courses for the upcoming seasons on a rolling basis. Please send a one-page to [email protected]:
